the over achievement line came from allardyce, not the fans. that he chose to spout it just after surrendering to Chelsea and just days before the Arsenal home game shows what a negative season killing cunt he is

name a game downing's looked good in since his fat scouse son has again been a regular in the team? downing was superb before that cunt returned

Yeah, we'll be around 11th to 8th.
Expect that with him.

That's what I said. If he is still here next season do not expect any improvement.

You. He drains it out of you.
I expect a variety of games. I also expect us to improve with more money from the OS.

Branded - No need to put your usual spin on things. It's simple, if he is still here next term I won't have any enthusiasm for it, simply because the man drains it all out of you.

He's achieving the natural standard of the squad.
Some games will be dull, some will be exciting, some we will win when we don't deserve to some we will draw when we had them won some we will lose when we should have hung on.

Its always been a bit like this.

"It doesn't mean we shouldnt be able to analyse a game and discuss things that need to Improve. Just a shame a lot of people can't be objective and give him credit when he deserves it too."

That's rubbish Sarah. I for one was more than happy up until Christmas and kept saying that SA can stay as long as he likes with those performances.

Thing is SA will describe that performance as good in the media. No-one ever challenges him on this. It wasn't. It was dreadful with a happy ending. Even the ref and lino were rubbish.

SA will never amount to anything other than being "a safe pair of hands" keeping teams in the Prem. I really do hope that our directors set their sights higher than safety.

In a way you are defending Sam with that interpretation, which pretty much matches the PR spin he's put on things.

If the negative occurrences that tend to happen in our football matches didn't happen, then things would be better for sure.

So. You'll only ever support West Ham if we over achieve? Or you'll only ever support West Ham with Sam managing if he over achieves?

Monk~koknee 1:38 Sun Mar 22

Totally spot on. In short, if we couldn't over achieve this season on the back of the start we had then simply it is never going to happen under BFS.

Fwiw, if he stays on I will lose interest next season.

We haven't been disappointing since Christmas. We've had disappointing results with some generally good performances and some terrible ones too. I'm not in any way going to defend Sam but what some people see and say doesn't make any sense.

You're right I think, but we've been very disappointing since Christmas with or without injuries. I think that set of players should be capable of much better against a poor team.

Monk is bang on.

It has been downhill since we threw the away game at Stamford Bridge, by dropping Song, who at the time looked like a world beater, and our top scorer in Sakho.

We were 3rd at the time, and was the end of December, and we threw a game against proper hated rivals. For the life of anyone, when will there EVER be a better time to try and give them a game? Wanted him gone from the moment I saw the teamsheet.

Re: West Ham v Sunderland - Official Match Thread FT 1-0
I'm not apologising for anything I'm just clearly seeing that our squad needs upgrading still. We lack real quality and depth in key areas, where the teams doing better than us have that quality to bring in. A few injuries and we are back to the struggling team of last season it's that fine a line for us but a couple of summer windows of the one this season and it could massively change.

Just calm down and only go apeshit if we don't strengthen enough in summer transfer windows.

Monk~koknee 1:38 Sun Mar 22
Re: West Ham v Sunderland - Official Match Thread FT 1-0
From my point of view (and the problem with BFS) is that his negative tactics will never allow his team to over-achieve. As we were 'safe' by Christmas he could have at least giving it a go since but rather he conceded games before a ball was kicked and subsequently lost momentum. Compare and contrast with Southampton who despite a run of 5 or so straight defeats still went into every game trying to win and without fearing the opposition.

I think most fans would respect a coach whose team came off after every game knowing they had given everything to try and win. Sure, survival is a must but that had been achieved by December this year.

WTF are you talking about? It wasn't an excuse for the pathetic display yesterday. Whose talking about top 6. Fuck off, you're just another apologists happy to see utter shit served up.
